My Mission: Environmental science is a subject often overlooked by many schools, where it is not a requirement for students. After taking my first environmental science class, I found that I wish to spread environmental awareness and leadership to create a more sustainable world  for the generations to follow. I desire to reveal the enjoyment and recreation that can be discovered when we create a mindful and serviceable society.

Too many people contribute to the destruction of our ecosystem simply by littering. Volunteering with Heal LA the past 3 years has allowed me to do my part to protect and preserve our environment. Beach cleanups occur monthly at local beaches like Santa Monica. Heal LA works through the non-profit Heal the Bay, where I have also previously volunteered to remove pollution and trash before it enters our oceans.

Garden Club

Garden Club takes place afterschool at Porter Ranch Community School, where I lead and plan activities & lessons based on environmental awareness and leadership. These activities teach the students how to take action in their own school and community. We garden, spread awareness, and most of all have fun learning!

Tree People Supervisor

I volunteer at Tree People where I have assisted in ecological restoration and the removal of invasive species. I am also in the process of  becoming a supervior. Tree people is an environmentally based non-profit organization that focuses on ecological restoration and transforming LA into a healthier and more sustainable ecosystem.

Mural

I am assisting in the painting and production of a mural at Porter Ranch Community School. When finished, with hands of some of the students, it will be a design of a tree and other animals native to California.
